The System Software Factory™ (SSF) is an enterprise-class, multi-language,
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) delivery infrastructure. Early in 2005
Dynasty introduced the SSF as the logical next step to complement its
Dynasty Development Environment (DDE). While the SSF manages
solutions developed using the DDE, it is equally suitable for managing
applications built using Java or COBOL.
The SSF uses an Abstraction
Layer to model a single reference configuration for a software application that
may be re-targeted, re-partitioned, and re-generated frequently. It contains
mechanisms and metadata to support ALM functions such as Version Control and
Change Management (including Dependency checking) and for managing project
resources and monitoring workflow in real time. It provides linkages to QA
testing and automatic documentation facilities.
The SSF is designed to
permit rapid customization and regeneration of an application through the use
of a software development framework featuring stored models and custom
profiles. The objectives are to increase productivity and reduce errors when
building and redeploying a software application.
