Trade-Ranger
Trade-Ranger, acquired by Hubwoo in 2005, focuses on “operational excellence” to profitably provide all the expert knowledge, services and technology to foster the adoption of seamless Internet supply chain management among our community members and their trading partners in the chemical, refining and marketing, and upstream energy industries worldwide.
Trade-Ranger was launched in July 2000 as the world’s only eProcurement marketplace serving the oil and gas, and chemical industry. Trade-Ranger focused on connecting buyers and suppliers in the upstream, downstream and retail sectors, allowing them to do business with each other through a single, secure, independent channel.
A faster, better, more streamlined procurement world
Huge advantages quickly became apparent to Trade-Ranger members. For the first time, procurement and catalog processes were standardized, dramatically reducing infrastructure requirements, transaction costs, paperwork and errors. Order, invoice and payment cycles were suddenly accelerated, improving cash flow and boosting working capital. And finally, the entire world was opened as a potential marketplace for buyers and suppliers alike.
A strong membership, getting stronger
To date, more than 1,900 companies have seized the opportunities of Trade-Ranger membership – a number that continues to grow. These members have come to the right place. Into the future, we will advance our technology and expand our services. We will collaborate with members to further refine procurement strategies and develop industry-wide standards. As our membership grows, so will the advantages those members will gain.
