Zurich Airport Authority

The Zurich Airport Authority began administrating the intercontinental airport in Canton Zurich in 1976. Since then its responsibilities have included planning, management, and coordination of airport operations. In 1999, the ZAA selected DYNASTY as the development environment of choice for several of their business-critical applications.

ZAA did not want to be locked into a proprietary product, which would exclude them from choice of middleware operating systems, databases and hardware platforms. In fact, Dynasty can generate services directly for BEA WebLogic Enterprise - the Object Request Broker from BEA.

With Dynasty the Zurich Airport was able to achieve the flexibility and openness required for managing more efficiently some of their complex IT systems.
